„Arabische Grammatik: Paradigmen, Literatur, Übungsstücke und Glossar“ [ 1 ] by Carl Brockelmann is now freely available in our Open Access collection MENAdoc. The textbook can be regarded as a “classic” for the study of Arabic. We have digitized the 14th edition from 1960.
Carl Friedrich Brockelmann (1868 –1956) is regarded as one of the most important German Orientalists and Semitists. Together with Hans Wehr he was significantly involved in the transcription standard of the Arabic alphabet (transcription of the Deutsche Morgenländische Gesellschaft (DMG) and DIN-Norm DIN 31635).
