The Society of Turkic, Ottoman and Turkish Studies (Gesellschaft für Turkologie, Osmanistik und Türkeiforschung, GTOT) employs methods of philology, history, linguistics, social sciences, literary or cultural studies. They focus on Turkey, the Ottoman Empire, Central Asia and the Caucasus.
