The Specialised Information Service Asia has licensed the database “Foreign Broadcast Information Service (FBIS) Daily Reports, 1941-1996” of the provider Readex for German research.
The digitised daily reports by the FBIS from more than half a century also cover the Middle East and North Africa. Thus they are an important source for our academic community. Our FID has therefore strongly supported the acquisition.
Access to this database should be highly interesting for all research institutions dealing with key topics of the 20th century, such as the Cold War, the Middle East conflict, racial conflicts, apartheid, nuclear weapons, etc.
