Summer School: Armenia – Language, Culture and Society

Sommerschule: Armenien – Sprache, Kultur und Gesellschaft Eriwan – IconThe summer school “Armenia: Language, Culture and Society” in Yerevan focuses on the most current social issues. In addition to a language course and an examination of the grammatical system of the Armenian language, modules on Armenian literature, music, economics, regional studies and history as well as Armenia’s position between Russia, Asia and Europe will offer an insight into the society and culture of this country.

This will be complemented by excursions – e.g. to Edjmiatsin, the religious centre of the country and a conversation with an apostolic priest – as well as a meeting with an environmental protection organisation and representatives of civil society.

The application deadline for participation – and also for a DAAD scholarship – is 12 May 2019.
