The Specialised Information Service (FID) Middle East, North Africa and Islamic Studies will hold its third advisory board meeting on 19 November 2020.
The Specialised Information Service is in the middle of its second funding period. The meeting will be used to evaluate what has been achieved so far, to assess the current priorities and to set the course for the forthcoming DFG application.
The Academic Advisory Board of the FID consists of experts from a wide range of research fields, including representatives from research institutes, associations and libraries with a focus on oriental studies.

The meeting will be opened by Ms Berghaus-Sprengel, Director of the University and State Library Saxony-Anhalt where the FID has been based since 2016. Due to the current infection prevention measures, the third Advisory Board meeting is held virtually via video conference.
