The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) would like to intensify research in the region of North Africa, Jordan or Lebanon with the funding “Maria Sibylla Merian International Centre for Advanced Studies in the Humanities and Social Sciences”.
Maria Sibylla Merian Centres are to be established at universities or non-university research institutions.
Research institutions and organisations with a high level of expertise in international research administration based in Germany are eligible to apply.
The funding period is divided into three phases and may last up to twelve years.
