Al Manhal EBA model
With the EBA model of the Arab provider Al Manhal we tried out a new form of digital acquisition that enables targeted acquisitions based on usage statistics. The collection comprises over 12,000 e-books mainly in Arabic on the various topics.
An EBA model is an "evidence-based acquisition", i.e. a user-based acquisition. The provider Al Manhal opens up parts of its collection for a year and makes books from the Arab world available as e-books. The works accessed are then permanently acquired based on usage statistics. There are many ways to interact with the material in order to increase user statistics. You can browse through the pages of the book that you find interesting, you can download the work, you can quote it, copy something from it or print it out.

The Al Manhal platform offers numerous research tools. Some can only be used after registration but are not absolutely necessary.
