Survey: Al-Ahram - Test of the digital newspaper archive

Members of the 31 institutions in our defined user group were able to test and evaluate the digitised archive of the Egyptian newspaper "Al-Ahram" (الأهرام) in 2021.

The Middle East Specialist Information Service had agreed temporary access with the database provider "East View" until 15 January 2021.

We needed your feedback as a mandate, for or against the purchase of a permanent licence. Following the test, the user institutions were able to take part in a short survey by Al-Ahram.

Thanks to this survey, the FID was able to to make the archive accessible for our users.
