In its services, the FID Middle East pursues two orientations: an information science and a technological one. Information science the FID pursues the clear goal of making discourses and debates from the MENA region visible and accessible in their languages and writings in Germany. The provision of material is deliberately organised independently of the form of publication. In accordance with the publication cultures of the MENA region, both print and e-materials are made available. acquired, high quality development (e.g. Culture & standard data) and made comprehensively findable. Technological FID pursues a firm Open Access strategy and offers its specialist communities technically mature services that support the principles of Open Science.
