Tehran.<\/p><p>All e-books can be downloaded as PDF files and searched in full text. Miras Maktoob is also the only non-governmental institute that specialises in the critical edition of historical texts.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The Research Institute was founded in 1993 as the Publication Office for Written Cultural Heritage (<i>Daftar-i Na\u0161r-i M\u012br\u0101<\/i><i><u>\u1e6f<\/u><\/i><i>-i Makt\u016bb<\/i>) was founded to promote scientific research into the preservation of written cultural heritage. Since 2005 it has officially been called the Research Institute for Written Cultural Heritage (<i>Mu\u02beassis-i Pa\u017e\u016bhi\u0161\u012b-i\u00a0<\/i><i>M\u012br\u0101<\/i><i><u>\u1e6f<\/u><\/i><i>-i Makt\u016bb<\/i>).<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The publications appear in various series, divided into 16 subject areas, including Persian language and literature, Islamic scholarship, science and technology, history and geography, textual research, translations and catalogues of manuscripts, essays, commemorative publications and conference proceedings.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The majority of the texts that are analysed scientifically are written in Persian.
