The Ascetic Settlements and Monasteries in the Levant before 7th AD

The Oriental Institute at University of Oxford is hosting a conference on ‘The Ascetic Settlements and Monasteries in the Levant before 7th AD‘ from 15-17 July 2019. The Call for Papers is currently open.

To the Call for Papers:

ARAM Society for Syro-Mesopotamian Studies is organizing its Fifty First International Conference on the history and archaeology of The Ascetic Settlements & Monasteries in the Levant before 7th AD, to be held at the Oriental Institute, University of Oxford, on 15th – 17th July 2019.

The conference will start on Monday 15th July at 9pm, finishing on Wednesday 17th July at 6:30pm. Each speaker’s paper is limited to 35 minutes, with an additional 10 minutes for discussion. All papers given at the conference will be considered for publication in a future edition of the ARAM Periodical, subject to editorial review.
